DAP Graduate School held MPM DevSec Batch 18B’s In-Class Special Lecture

21 April 2022- The Graduate School of Public and Development Management (GSPDM) conducted a Special In-Class Lecture attended by the student-officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines enrolled in the Master in Public Management major in Development and Security program.

Dr. Hynek Melichar, an assistant professor at the Department of Politics and European Study of the Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic served as the Resource Speaker. He specializes in international relations and security, specifically on the issue of political violence and terrorism in the context of ethno-nationalist conflicts. Dr. Melichar delivered his lecture, titled, “Fallout of Russia-Ukraine Relations: A Peace-War Spectrum”.

The module’s faculty-in-charge, Dr. Chester B. Cabalza, invited Dr. Melichar to give the special in-class lectures to further enhance the module’s topics and to broaden the perspectives of the co-learners and impart to them a global view of some of the most pressing global security issues.

The MPM DevSec is a twinning program aligned with the Command and General Staff College (CGSC) that seeks to build students’ competencies for them to become effective and efficient officers for strategic levels of command and staff positions in the AFP within the overarching framework of development and security. The SGDC Learning Management Team is composed of Ms. Alyn Joy D. Baltazar, Program Manager; Ms. Precious P. Reforma, Learning Manager; and Mr. Christian C. Dolorfino, Mr. Clemente I D. Vergara, Ms. Aya Camille B. Porral, Ms. Hanah Hadaza B. De Ocampo, and Mr. Lawrence N. Llanita.
